This is what I sent to UN

UN Secretary-General & Mr Quintana,
Every coin has two sides but for UN, you only look at one side. If UN is the organization for Human no matter their race or religion, why did you leave Maungdaw at the first place where people needed you most. You can ask any of your employee based in Maungdaw (apart from Muslims as you will hear only their side) or even Rakhine if you think you will hear only one side too about who were real victims of that violence.
If Taliban believe the propaganda from Muslims website with pictures of poor infants burnt down, it’s OK as they will believe anything that the islamic brotherhoods say but for an organization like UN & AI believing one side stories and those propagandas, it’s a shame for those organizations. When US hunted down Binladin in Pakistan, where were those organizations to say something about it? India has same problem at their border recently and the Indian Govt ordered “Shoot-on-sight” to protect their ethnic group from those terrorists but can you go and tell India it’s about human right???? If Myanmar Govt had used that “Shoot-on-sight” order when the violence happened to Maungdaw, Sittwe would have been well saved but NO… They did only warning shots and your organization as well as US and other organization even praised Myanmar Govt of handling that case, if you remember but the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, has referred (according to her) independent sources saying another story of Myanmar forces abusing Rohingya. What are be supposed to believe from UN?? And whom do you really present??

If UN is for Myanmar Citizens too, we want to hear the fair report instead of pressuring Govt or Myanmar National to accept those so called Rohingyas.

That is a right question for UN, I think and also accept that
proposal, concerned with UN. They often force to take a
pressure on countries ,undeveloped and against US and GB.

Thank you Shwe Phyu for your letter and comments on UN. As you have mentioned, there are many aspects/perspectives in this issue. When we observe the post conflict-existence of UN in the area , we need to have institutional knowledge of the mission/project of each UN & NGO agencies and their intended beneficiaries in the area. Most of the UN and NGOs in the area came there with their respective projects which targeted mostly returnees as their beneficiaries as the apparent worse shape of conditions of those people are obvious. And it is a bit unfair to refer to all those who make disturbances as Muslims as there might be many peaceful Muslim people among residences in the area though most of the rioters are muslims. We also need to know what are the major / root causes of the issue and what make that people behave desperately in such a way. Obviously, these were terrorists acts but we should be curious why so many people involved in such a riots threatening peace , law and order at the risks of their own lives. We need a more appropriate approach to address this issue rather than clinging to narrow nationalism and need a broad-mindedness and humanitarian considerations in this issue.

We all need to aware that when we talking middle east issue the views of Israels and Palestinians might be quite different, but there is one common ground and this is humanitarian ground. Likewise, national views and humanitarian views can be conflicted depends on situations. In the age of globalization, when we are trying to solve a problem and seek a sustainable solution, we should include humanitarian considerations which will ensure lasting peace and development.
