DEAR RIT ALUMNI FRIEND,

AS YOU MAY BE AWARE, THE 2010 GRAND REUNION AND SAYA PU ZAW PWE (SPZP) IS BEING PLANNED FOR DECEMBER 2010. THE MAIN EVENTS ARE SCHEDULED ON DECEMBER 19 AND MINI-GATHERINGS WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN DECEMBER 18 AND 20. YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO ATTEND AND ENJOY SEEING AND CATCHING UP WITH YOUR FORMER CLASSMATES AND FRIENDS, AND ALSO GET A CHANCE TO TALK WITH YOUR FORMER SAYAS EXPRESSING YOUR GOOD AS WELL AS BAD EXPERIENCES IN (OR OUT OF” FOR THOSE OF YOU CLASS DODGERS/AVOIDERS) THEIR CLASSES.

THE PLANNING AND EXECUTION FOR THE EVENT IS BEING DONE A LOT OF GREAT AND NOBLE EFFORT BY THE “SINGAPORE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE” CHAIRED BY SAYA U MOE AUNG (E-63) AND CO-CHAIRED BY SAYA DR TIN HLAING (M-63), WITH STRONG SUPPORT FROM FORMER RIT SAYAS AND STUDENTS RESIDING IN SINGAPORE. RIT ALUMNI-SINGAPORE EXECUTED THE 2002 AND 2007 EVENTS, BOTH WITH EXCELLENT SUCCESS, AND HAS NOW TAKEN THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS YEAR AGAIN. WE APPRECIATE THEIR GOODWILL AND DEDICATION TO THE RIT SPIRIT, AND WE SHOULD TRY TO SUPPORT THEM IN ANY WAY WE CAN.

WE CAN SUPPORT FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE 2010 SZPZ BY TAKING (ANY OR ALL OF) THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:

  1. ATTEND THE EVENT.
  2. DONATE ANY AMOUNT WE CAN TO THE 2010 SPZP FUND.
  3. SPONSOR A SAYA FROM MYANMAR BY DONATING $1,250.00. YOU CAN NAME THE SAYA YOU WANT TO SPONSOR. A NUMBER OF DONORS CAN ALSO SHARE A SAYA SPONSORSHIP.

4.   CONTRIBUTE AN ARTICLE FOR THE “SWE DAW YEIK SAR=SAUNG”.

DONATION CHECKS SHOULD BE WRITTEN TO “RIT Alumni International” and mailed to
