China Tour ( 2 ) – Journey to the West, Art Museum & City Wall

On 10th Sept, 2011, we arrived Xi’an,

Xi’an is an Ancient Capital of China,

under “Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui and Tang” dynasties.

Xi’an is one of the oldest cities in China,

with more than 3,100 years of history.

First, We visited the Giant/Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

It is a Buddhist pagoda/temple, located in southern Xi’an.

It was built in 652 AD, during the Tang Dynasty.

The main function of this pagoda is

to hold sacred texts and figurines of the Buddha.

Those were brought to China, from India,

by the Buddhist Monk “Xuan Zang”.

He is famous for his “Journey to the west”

The Bodhisattva (Guan Yin) instructed

the Buddhist Monk “Xuan Zang”.

So, the Buddhist Monk Xuan Zang &

his three protectors Sun Wukong (Monkey King),

Zhu Bajie (Pig) and Sha Wujing

travelled to the “Western Regions / India”,

(during the Tang Dynasty), to obtain sacred texts of Buddha.

      Dear Ko Thit Min,
      Yes, they do “ဘုန်းကြီးကျောင်း၊ ဘုရားတွေမှာ ဖိနပ်စီးကြတယ်”
I think, this practice is because of their country’s climate.
If the weather is too cold, how can they take off their shoes ( nonsense ).
      For Example,
If you are in Siberia, with minus 20 degree Celsius,
After you take off your shoes, to pay homage to Pagoda,
After that, you might lose you toes. 🙁

      Dear Wind Talker,
Ummmm, you are the only one who really have artistic eye. 😛
Of course, I have ” very closed up pictures” (အနီးကပ် ရိုက်ထားတာလေးများ)
      Yes, Yes, really 😛
I took very long time to understand those pictures. 😛

      But, I am fear,
you see, some of our villagers/Thu Gyi might criticize, if I post them.
      Moreover, if I post those
then, MG have to change their name to ” Mandalay Play Boy Gazette”. 🙂

Too bad, they cannot understand & feel the real art.
May be, this is because, those art are too high for them,
( not ordinary level, Postgraduates level ) 😛

          Dear

I saw a lots of students there, both male & female, but, young.
some were learning & some were practicing,
          some are really beautiful.
I didn’t have much chances to compare, who is who in those pictures. 🙁
          By the way, I think,
the picture with Chinese fan & cherry branch is the most beautiful & attractive,
          Isn’t it ??? 😛

      Sorry Zoe,
My photos are not very clear.
Because, at that time, there was a drizzle.
You can even see, some were using umbrellas.
