”What is Success?” and ” Who is the Successful Person in Life?”

During these days,I have some ideas to share to all.That’s about ‘‘Success.”It comes into my mind after attending a Talk of a famous writer,Linkar Yikyaw .His  topic is ”Youth  and Success.

”What  is   Success ?” and

” Who is the successful person in life?”

According to the author John  C .Maxwell,

Success is

Knowing your purpose in life

Growing to reach your maximum potential and

Sowing seeds that benefits  others

From my point of view,I agree with his idea of ”Sowing seeds that benefits others”.

It means ”Doing the welfare of others as much as we can”.

A person who does the welfare  of other people without thinking of his own benefits,he is the successful person in life.

Yes,we have seen such kind of noble persons in life .They are always pleased to help people at any times,and they never expect the other person’s return.Although they may be poor ,their mental spirit is so pure.They never complained of other person’s wrong doings and faults.They can easily forgive them at all.They are  always satisfied of helping other people with kind and good heart.

Whenever they face ups and downs in their lives,they never blame to any persons and situations.

Whenever they face ups and downs in their lives,they never blame to any persons and situations.

They always  see the good side of the events and problems they encountered  in any  situation.

They share their kindness,joy and sympathy to others.

They share other people’s  woe and sorrows with their compassion.

Have you ever seen such kind of successful person in your life?

From my  point of view,I have seen  such kind of real successful person in my life,not from my  sight,but from learning her good deeds for poor people.It was

Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Mother M. Teresa of Calcutta, the Foundress of the Missionaries of Charity, attracted much attention from around the world because of her sincere concern for “the poorest of the poor.” Millions of persons-some believers, others indifferent to the supernatural-hailed her as a ‘living saint.” Her story has been recounted often since her death on Friday, September 5, 1997, in Calcutta, India, at the age of eighty-seven.

“To love the poor, know the poor, be poor”

Mother Teresa once explained that the vow of poverty which her Sisters take is more stringent then that found in other communities. “To be able to love the poor and know the poor, we must be poor ourselves.”

Mother Teresa

50 Years of Good Works and Inner Darkness

1910-1997

The wrinkled smiling face shining out from her blue trimmed white religious robes surrounded by poverty stricken children and people of the streets of Calcutta is but one of the enduring images of Mother Teresa.

Mother Teresa devoted her life to working with the poor in Calcutta, India. In 1950 she established the Missionaries of Charity. Her deeds of kindness were legendary and her selfless devotion to caring for the poor transcends the record of most humanitarians. She is an icon for charity. By the time of her death in 1997, over 500 Missionaries of Charity Centers were operating in over 100 countries.

LIFE OF SACRIFICE AND COMPASSION

It is said that at the age of twelve Mother Teresa was convinced she wanted to live a religious life. In 1929 she moved to India. She taught at religious schools and convents in India but throughout the 1940’s she became increasingly burdened for the poor of Calcutta. Her focus became the poorest of the poor. The homeless, the orphans, the abandoned ones of society. For those suffering from Hansen’s Disease she opened up leper centers.

Mother Teresa’s mission in her own words in 1950 was: “…to care for the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind, the lepers, all those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society and are shunned by everyone.”

If anyone was worthy of receiving awards, private audiences with queens, presidents and other world leaders,  honorary degrees, the Nobel Peace Prize, and many other distinctions of honor – it was Mother Teresa.

Mother M. Teresa has died, but her name and good deeds continue unabated. She touched millions in this world. She will-please God-aid millions more through her prayers and Christ-like example.

    Thank you for the post. Love her.. and also love her ” Anyway” poem… she’s a modern saint, I think..

    Mother Teresa’s Anyway Poem

    People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
    Forgive them anyway.

    If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
    Be kind anyway.

    If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
    Succeed anyway.

    If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
    Be honest and frank anyway.

    What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
    Build anyway.

    If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
    Be happy anyway.

    The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
    Do good anyway.

    Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
    Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

    You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
    It was never between you and them anyway.

    [Reportedly inscribed on the wall of Mother Teresa’s children’s home in Calcutta, and attributed to her. However, an article in the New York Times has since reported (March 8, 2002) that the original version of this poem was written by Kent M. Keith.]

    ”Sowing seeds that benefits others”.က ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာအမြင်နဲ့ ကြည့်ရင်တော့ အဆင့်မြင့်တဲ့ ပါရမီမြောက် လှူဒါန်ခြင်း နဲ့တူပါတယ်။

    In my opinion, success is a balance of life. but ….

    ဦးဘုန်း ဓာတု ရဲ ့ သုည အတွေးစာစု ထဲက ကြိုက်တာလေး

    လက်ညှိုးညွှန်ရာစေစားနိုင်တဲ့ရှင်ဘုရင်ကြီးဖြစ်ဖြစ်…..
    သုံးမကုန်ဖြုန်းမကုန်တဲ့မဟာသူဌေးမင်းကြီးပဲဖြစ်ဖြစ်……
    အရာရာကိုသိစွမ်းနိုင်တဲ့မဟာပညာရှိကြီးပဲဖြစ်ဖြစ်…….
    လူသားကောင်းကျိုးမသယ်ပိုးသ၍……..
    ဘုရားရှေ ့မှာ သုည ပဲ။

    If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
    Be honest and frank anyway.
    Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
    Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.
    Frd,Barnay,Yes,we will have to see positive point of view of any problem in any situation.That’s our Buddha’s successful way of living in life.In fact,we must do benefits of people with kind heart and good will before we die.

    The person who can give others real happiness, real peace and real freedom is the real successful person. But we need to know what is real happiness, real peace and real freedom.

    Yes,frd,we really need to know real peace and after that we can share to others that real one.
    I agree with you.Life is too short ,so we must choose and do real good things that can give real happiness to people,especially weak and poor ones .
