Wild China is a six-part nature documentary series on the natural history of China, co-produced by the BBC Natural History Unit and China Central Television (CCTV) and filmed entirely in high-definition (HD). It was screened in the UK on BBC Two from 11 May to 5 June 2008. The English narration was provided by Bernard Hill and the series produced by Phil Chapman for the BBC and Gao Xiaoping for CCTV. The Chinese version was broadcast under the title Beautiful China. In Canada, it was broadcast on CBC as part of the series The Nature Of Things narrated by David Suzuki. Wild China was broadcast in Australia on ABC1.

The musical score to accompany the series was composed by Barnaby Taylor and is performed by Cheng Yu and the UK Chinese Ensemble.

Just a little clip about my roots. Perhaps this might expand your view of what China is also made up of, other than what you hear in the news. I deeply love this soundtrack and am saddened by the fact that it is unavailable in the United States.

Watching this series on Eden right now!!! Fabulous soundtrack and stunning series which gave ‘Westerner’s’ a new insight into this magnificent country, dispelling a few myths along the way-beautiful, a country to be proud of.

magic photography and lovely, soothing music.

thank you for sharing your love for this country.

Majestic, grand beauties of mountains and gorges. One would feel like a bird free as the wind or one would be in awe of natures’ marvels on these mountains.
    Thanks for the posts..
