အမေရိကန်နိုင်ငံ၊ အင်ဒီယားနားပြည်နယ် ဖို့ဝိန်းမြို့တွင် အခြေချနေထိုင်သည့် ကရင်ဒုက္ခသည် ဆယ်ကျော်သက်လူငယ် မောင်မယ်နှစ်ဦးသည် လွန်ခဲ့သည့် ဒီဇင်ဘာလ ၂၆ရက်နေ့က ကားဂိုဒေါင်တခုအတွင်း မထင်မှတ်ဘဲ သေဆုံးသွားခဲ့သည်။

၎င်းတို့နှစ်ဦးသည် ကားဂိုဒေါင်အတွင်း အောက်ဆီဂျင်ရရှိခြင်းမရှိဘဲ ကားအင်ဂျင်စက်နိုးရာမှ ထွက်ရှိလာသည့် ကာဗွန်မိုနော့ ဆိုက်ဓါတ်ငွေ့ကို ရှူရှိုက်မိသဖြင့် ထိုသို့ သေဆုံးသွားခဲ့ရခြင်းဖြစ်ပြီး အခြားသံသယဖြစ်စရာ မည်သည့်အကြောင်းမျှ မတွေ့ရှိရ ကြောင်းလည်း ဒေသတွင်း တာဝန်ရှိသူများက အတည်ပြု ပြောဆိုခဲ့သည်။

သေဆုံးသွားသူ လူငယ်နှစ်ဦးမှာ စောအယ်ကလူတော ၁၈နှစ်နှင့် နော်အယ်မူးဒါး ၁ရနှစ်တို့ဖြစ်ပြီး ၎င်းတို့သည် ထိုင်း-မြန်မာ နယ်စပ်ရှိ ကရင်ဒုက္ခသည်စခန်းမှ အမေရိကန်ပြည်ထောင်စုသို့ မိသားစုနှင့်အတူ လာရောက်အခြေချ နေထိုင်ခဲ့ကြသူများ ဖြစ် သည်။

အခင်းဖြစ်ပွားသည့်နေရာမှာ သေဆုံးသွားခဲ့သူ စောအယ်ကလူတော၏ နေအိမ်ရှိ ကားဂိုဒေါင်ထဲတွင် ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်ပြီး စော အယ်ကလူတော၏ အဖေဖြစ်သူ စောတာဒေးက ကားဂိုဒေါင်ဖွင့်ရာမှ သေဆုံးသွားသည့်အလောင်းကို ပြန်လည်တွေ့ရှိရခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်ဟု သိရသည်။

“ဒီဇင်ဘာလ ၂၄ရက်နေ့ ကြာသပတေးနေ့ည ၆နာရီလောက်မှာ သူ့ကို နောက်ဆုံးတွေ့ရတယ်။ အဲဒါနောက်ဆုံးအချိန်ပါ။ အဲဒီ သတင်းကို ကျမ မယုံချင်ဘူး။ အဲဒါကြီးဟာ အိမ်မက်တခုလိုပါပဲ”ဟု သေဆုံးသွားခဲ့သူ နော်အယ်မူးဒါး၏ အစ်မက ဖို့ဝိန်းမြို့ အခြေစိုက် wane သတင်းစာဌာနကို ပြောဆိုသည်။

သေဆုံးသူများနှင့် နီးစပ်သည့် ဖို့ဝိန်းမြို့နေ ကရင်လူငယ်တဦးက “ကျနော်တို့ နယ်စပ်မှာနေတဲ့အချိန်က ကိုယ်ပိုင်ကားတွေဘာ တွေ သုံးနေကြရတာ မဟုတ်ဘူး။ သူတို့လည်း ဒီတိုင်းပါပဲ။ အဲဒါကြောင့်လည်းပဲ အဲဒီအန္တရာယ်ကို သူတို့ မသိကြတာပါ”ဟု ကေအိုင်စီကို ပြောဆိုသည်။

အင်ဒီယားနားပြည်နယ်၊ ဖို့ဝိန်းမြို့တွင် ခန့်မှန်းခြေအားဖြင့် ကရင်လူမျိုး အပါအဝင် မြန်မာပြည်သား ၅,၀၀ဝကျော် အခြေချ နေ ထိုင်လျက်ရှိပြီး အဆိုပါအဖြစ်အပျက်သည် အမေရိကန်ရောက် ကရင်အသိုင်းအဝိုင်းများကြားတွင် ပထမဆုံး ဖြစ်ပျက်ခဲ့ခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်။

Family questions if cultural barrier is to blame

FORT WAYNE, Ind., (WANE) — – NewsChannel 15 has uncovered new details about two Fort Wayne teenagers found dead the day after Christmas. The victims were discovered parked in a car, inside a closed garage in the 3500 block of Fairfield Avenue.

Both of the victims immigrated from Burma, and sources say they hadn’t been here long.

A family member found 18-year-old Klu Tal Eh Day, a male, and 17-year-old Eh Moo Dah, a female, around 10:30 Saturday morning.

The Allen County Coroner has ruled the deaths as accidental, due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

22-year-old Mu Dah says her sister, Eh Moo Dah told the family she was going to a friend’s house.

“The last time we saw her was Thursday night, the 24th, around 6 o’clock,” she recalled. “That was the last time. I don’t want to believe it, It’s like oh, this was a dream, that’s what I kept telling myself.”

According to the family, Eh Moo Dah was a student at North Side High School, where she excelled in her studies and dreamed of becoming a doctor.

“Mom and Dad always say that she is the smartest girl. Yeah, she was very smart,” Mu Dah told NewsChannel 15.

It’s been hard for the family to accept, and tough for Burmese advocates to deal with too.
Carbon monoxide is a danger most grow up learning about, but that’s not the case with Burmese immigrants.

“In their country, they don’t have their own vehicles, so they know nothing about the danger, the potential danger of carbon monoxide,” said advocate and friend of Eh Moo Dah’s family Laura Burger. “It’s one of those things that unfortunately after the fact, you realize this is something we should have warned them about.”

It’s a warning for Mu Dah even, who was also unaware. She and Burger hope the tragic lesson will one day save the life of someone else.

Mu Dah tells NewsChannel 15 the family had been in Fort Wayne for about two years. Little is known about the background of the other victim, Klu Tal Eh Day.

Eh Moo Dah’s family plans to hold a special memorial for her Thursday.
