မှတ်သားဖွယ်ရာ အဆိုအမိန့်အချို့

ငယ်ငယ်ကမှတ်ထားခဲ့တဲ့ အဆိုအမိန့်အချို့ပါ။

(၁)   ကွေကွင်းရခြင်းဟာ နာကျင်ခံစားရခြင်းပဲ။

To part is to die a little.

(၂)   ကောလဟာလ ဟာအလွန်ပျံ့နှံ့လွယ်တယ်။

Rumour is a great traveler.

(၃)   ကောင်းတဲ့ဝိုင်ကိုရေမရေမရောပဲသောက်ပါ။

Drink wine and let the water go to the mill.

(၄)   ကလေးရဲ့အပစ်ကိုဒဏ်မပေးပဲခွင့်လွှတ်တာဟာ အသေအချာဖျက်စီးခြင်းဖြစ်တယ်။

Spare the rod and spoil the child.

(၅)   ကမ္ဘာပေါ်မှာငရဲတစ်ခုရှိရင် လူသား၏အသဲနှလုံးမှာလည်းကြေကွဲမှုတစ်ခုရှိမည်သာ။

If there be a hell upon earth it is to be found in a melancholy man’s heart.

(၆)   ကောင်းသောအိမ်ထောင်တစ်ခုဟာ မျက်စေ့ကန်းသောမယားနှင့်

နားပင်းသော လင်ယောကျားတို့ပေါင်းသင်းသောအိမ်ထောင်ပင်ဖြစ်သည်။

A good marriage would be between a blind wife and a deaf husband.

(၇)   ကိုယ်ကျင့်သီလဟာ ကုန်ကျစရိတ်များတဲ့ ပုဂ္ဂလိက စည်းစိမ်ချမ်းသာပဲ။

Morality is a private and costly luxury.

(၈)   ကြံ့ခိုင်သောကိုယ်မှာ ကြံ့ခိုင်သောစိတ်ရှိတယ်။

A sound mind in a sound body.

(၉)  ကြီးမြတ်ခြင်းဟာအဓွန့်မရှည်ရင်အလကားပဲ။

Greatness is nothing unless it be lasting.

 

(၁၀) ကြောင်ကို ဘယ်သူခြူဆွဲပေးမလဲ။

Who will bell the cat.

(၁၁) ကြားရမှာမဟုတ်တဲ့သူကို ခံစားရအောင်လုပ်ရမယ်။

Who will not hear must be made to feel.

(၁၂) ကြိုးစားမကြည့်သရွေ့သင်ဘယ်တော့မှသိမှာမဟုတ်။

You never know till you have tried.

(၁၃) ကြွေးမြီကင်းတာဟာ အန္တရာယ်ကင်းတာပါပဲ။

Out of debt, out of danger.

(၁၄) ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုဟာခွန်အားထက်ပိုအားရှိတယ်။

Skill is stronger than strength.

(၁၅) ချစ်ခြင်းအစ သနားခြင်းက။

Pity is a kind to love.

(၁၆) ချစ်ပြီးမှဆုံးရှုံးရတာက လုံးဝမချစ်ရတာထက်ပိုကောင်းတယ်။

It’s better to have loved and lost never to have loved at all.

(၁၇) ချစ်ကြသူတိုင်းကတော့ မြင်မြင်ချင်းချစ်ကြတာမဟုတ်ပါဘူး

Who ever love, that love not at first sight.

(၁၈) ချစ်သူတို့၏ တွေ့ဆုံခြင်း၌ ခရီးများဆုံးကြ၏။

Journeys end in lovers meeting.

(၁၉) ခုတ်ချက်ကလေးတွေများလာရင်  ကြီးမားတဲ့ဝက်သစ်ချပင်ကိုပြိုလဲစေတယ်။

Little strokes will fell great oak.

(၂၀) ခွဲခွာခြင်းဟာ နာကျင်ခံစားရခြင်းပဲ။

(၂၁) ခရီးဝေးတလျှောက်မျာကောက်ရိုးတမျှင်တောင်လေးပင်ပါတယ်။

(၂၂) ငွေကြေးကိစ္စမှာတော့လူတိုင်းဟာအယူဝါဒအတူတွေဖြစ်သွားကြတယ်။

Where it is a question of money, everybody is of the religion.

(၂၃) ငွေပေါ်မှာယုံကြည်စိတ်ချမှုမထားပါနဲ့၊ယုံကြည်စိတ်ချရာမှာသာငွေကိုထားပါ။

Put not your trust in money, but put your money in trust.

(၂၄) ငွေကိုတပ်မက်မှုဟာ ဒုစရိုက်အားလုံးရဲ့ရင်းမြစ်ပဲ။

For the love of money is the root of evil.

(၂၅) ငွေဟာခြေတွေလက်တွေလိုပဲ။သုံးရင်သုံးမသုံးရင်ဆုံးရှုံးမှာပဲ။

Money is like an arm or a leg, use it or lose it.

(၂၆) ငွေဟာပျားရည်ပဲ၊ငါ့ရင်သွေးပဲ၊သူဌေးပြောတဲ့ဟာသက ရယ်ရတယ်။

(၂၇) ငွေက စကားပြောတဲ့အခါမှာ အမှန်တရားဟာ တိတ်တိတ်နေတယ်။

(၂၈) ငွေချေးခြင်းကြောင့် မိတ်ပျက်တတ်တယ်။

Lend your money and lost your friend.

(၂၉) ငွေချေးသူမှာမကြာခဏငွေကြေးလည်းဆုံးမိတ်ဆွေလည်းဆုံးတတ်တယ်။

Very often he that his money lends loses both his gold and his friends.

(၃၀) ငွေကြေးပြည့်စုံသူမှာှအခြွေအရံ အပေါင်းအသင်းဘယ်တော့မှ မပြတ်ဘူး။

A full purse never luck friends.

(၃၁) ငါပြောသလိုလုပ်၊ ငါလုပ်သလိုမလုပ်နဲ့

Do as I say, not as I do.

(၃၂) ငါ့ကိုဘယ်သူမှ ဂရုမစိုက်တော့တဲ့အခါ၊ ငါကလည်းဘယ်သူကိုမှဂရုစိုက်စရာမလိုတော့ပါ။

I care for nobody, not I, if no one cares for me.

(၃၃) ငါသည်လူနှင့်တူသောလူကိုရှာနေသည်။

I am seeking a man.

(၃၄)   စကားပုံများဟာနေ့စဉ်အတွေ့အကြုံများကပေါက်ဖွားလာတာဖြစ်တယ်။

Proverbs are the daughter of daily.

(၃၅) စကားပုံဆိုတာ ရှည်ကြာတဲ့အတွေ့အကြုံတစ်ခုအပေါ်အခြေပြုထားတဲ့ ဝါကျတိုတစ်ခုပဲ။

The proverb is the short sentence based on a long experience.

(၃၆) စားချင်သလောက်စားပါ၊အရက်ကို အတိုင်းအတာနှင့်သောက်ပါ။

Eat at pleasure, drink by measure.

(၃၇) စာအုပ်ကောင်းတစ်အုပ်ဟာ အကောင်းဆုံးမိတ်ဆွေပဲ၊အမြဲထာဝစဉ် တသမတ်ထဲပဲရှိတယ်။

A good book is a best of friend, the same today and forever.

(၃၈) စာအုပ်တစ်အုပ်ကို အဖုံးကြည့်ပြီးတန်ဘိုးမဖြတ်ပါနှင့်။

Judge not a book by its cover.

(၃၉) စာအုပ်များသည် စိတ်ကြီးပွားရှင်သန်ဖွံ့ဖြိုးမှုကိုဖြစ်စေသည်။

Books are nourishment to the mind.

(၄၀) စာဖတ်ခြင်းသည် ပြည့်ဝသူတစ်ယောက်ဖြစ်စေ၍ တွေးတောခြင်းသည်

လူတော်တစ်ယောက်ဖြစ်နိုင်ပြီးရေးသားခြင်းသည်တိကျသူတစ်ယောက်ဖြစ်စေနိုင်သည်။

Reading makes a full man, thinking a perfect man and writing an exact man.

(၄၁) စိတ်ကူးကိုဖော်ထုတ်ရာမှာ ချင့်ချင့်ချိန်ချိန်ရှိပါ။

(၄၂) စမ်းချောင်းတစ်ခုကိုဖြတ်နေစဉ် မြင်းကိုမရိုက်ပါနှင့်။

(၄၇)   တကိုယ်ကောင်းဆန်ပြီးအစားကိုတစ်ယောက်တည်းစားသူကိုမည်သူမျှဝိုင်းကူမလုပ်။

(၄၈) တွေ့ဆုံခြင်းသည်ခွဲ ခွာရန်ဖြစ်သည်။

To meet is to part.

(၄၉) တောက်ပသောအရာမှန်သမျှမှေးမှိန်ရမည်သာ။

All that bright must fade.

(၅၀) တနင်္လာနေ့မနက်မှ စနေနေ့ညနေကိုမမျှော်နှင့်။
